Terms and Conditions

  • All dogs must be on a lead.
  • All dogs are to arrive at appointment time if you are delayed, please ring and advise. Long delays may mean the groom has to be rescheduled at an extra fee.
  • Dogs must be collected within 20 mins of my call or text .
  • If you require a dog to stay longer, please arrange with us Prior to your appointment as this cannot always be accommodated. I operate a one dog in policy.
  • Please ensure your dog has relieved itself prior to coming to the appointment. Try and take your dog a short walk to accommodate this.  Not in my garden.
  • If you are sending your pet in with a friend or family member, please send written instructions or give us a quick call to confirm your requirement. This eliminates any confusion which can occur when receiving a client’s wishes ‘second hand
  • Our price guide is set assuming your dog’s coat is in good condition. Dogs with heavy matting; double coats or heavily soiled coats may incur an additional charge.
  • Upon meeting your dog, your groomer will carry out an inspection and your will be advised of any additional treatment or charge which will be incurred.
  • All coat clippings and shaving will be carried out to the breed standard. Should you require any additional or special styling, please advise your groomer of this upon arrival.
  • Our groomers will always put the health and well-being of your dog first, and will make any treatment recommendations which may be needed to keep your dog happy and healthy.
  • Owners accept full responsibility for ensuring their dog has up-to-date vaccinations. In addition, any health problems should be brought to the attention of our groomer upon arrival.
  • We do not claim to cure any illness or condition with our treatments. If you have ongoing concerns about your dog’s medical health you should consult your veterinarian.
  • We have the right to take the dog to a veterinarian nominated by us in the case of an accident, at the dog owners expense unless we are proven to be negligent.
  • If your dog should become distressed or aggressive during the course of their grooming, we reserve the right to end the groom early. This measure is in the interests of the safety of both our Groomers and your dog You will still be charged for the groom.
  • On the very rare occasion, a dog may experience an allergic reaction to the products which we use at our grooming salon. Muttz Cutz  accept no responsibility or liability for this; and patch testing 24 hours in advance is recommended before any visit if you have cause for concerns. All products used are manufactured for use on dogs.

Matting Policy

Please note that matting can cause significant discomfort to your dog, which can worsen as the coat gets wet. In some instances it may be necessary to shave the coat to remove matting. Where matts exist in the coat, your groomer will advise you on the best treatment for removal. . In order to remove the matts/pelts the groomer must get under the matt/pelt with the clippers and may cause some skin irritations, burns, knicks, cuts.

  • Failure to maintain regular brushing and grooming between appointments will result in further matting, Muttz Cutz cannot be held accountable for this.
  • We have the right to refuse a groom.  
  • An elderly dog is a higher risk of grooming complications. We may ask you to sign a waiver.

Cancellation Policy

  • To cancel or reschedule your appointment, we must be contacted 24 hours prior to the appointment day.
  • Failure to provide us with 24 hours’ notice a €10 cancellation fee may  be charged
  • No shows will also incur a €20 No show charge.

    Details that we will hold on file:

  • Name and Mobile: So that we can send you SMS appointment reminders and contact you  when groom is completed or in case of emergency
  • Email: So that we can send you appointment confirmation/reschedule/cancellation/reminder emails and keep you updated of events such as news, events and offers.
  • Address: for purposes of the mobile appointment
  • Dogs Name: Our groomers like to connect with your dog on a personal level for praise/reassurance/direction
  • Dogs Breed: This helps us allocate a price to the service offered and allows us to allocate appropriate time/breed specific attention
  • Medical Issues: Your dog’s safety is paramount and knowing in advance about any underlying medical conditions allows us to make sure your dog is groomed in a safe and controlled manner
